Strike One (Lightning) - Radar and Satellite System - Quirky site. Takes getting used to. Menu slides across to left to a single word “Menu”, slides back if cursor on that line! Click on Radar, Satellite, Lightning or Models. To see data, then click on “View Your Selection”. Radar is obvious - choose your state and region; Satellite is animated - you can choose IR, Visible or Color - (can be slow); Lightning is interesting, again slow to load and animate. You can select a rectangle for a closer look, and that takes you to WA Landgate. Models gives you animated map with air pressure and winds data.
Australian region Infra-Red satellite image - You can click to see Visible Light image, but that is black at night - the IR works at night!
